The New Masked Doctoral Student

New Outfit. Same old M.D.S. enjoy.

The Week After

So much has happened since I last wrote, gentle readers.

I got all my NCA submissions in and finished. Now I only have to wait a few months to hear back. My own class is going well. We are in the midst of group presentations. The courses I am taking this semester are a breeze. I'm having a lot of fun in all of them, including stats. Yes, stats. The professor is engaging, excited about the material and straight-forward about it all. In fact, I've had good experiences in both stats courses I've taken here at the BG.

Today I'm running a class evaluation for a colleague. That should be finished promptly. I also found out this week that PCC is going to be around next year for sure. I hope that means that I'll be around here, too. I love teaching in this learning community. It's challenging and fulfilling at the same time. And to have a job like that is a rare and wonderful thing.

Gina and I have made some firm decisions about the wedding date, details, and reception. I feel content and at peace with the decisions we've made. That's nice, too. Now, it's just a matter of making things happen.

M.D.S. Away!
